After the parade we headed to Chinatown to none other than one of my favorite restaurants ever, Matchbox! Any of you DC dwellers that have not been are totally missing out. They also have restaurants on Capitol Hill, in Rockville, MD and Palm Springs, CA but I have only been to the original.
the decor is so modern, and the building is only 15 feet wide but it seems so huge inside!
It is delicious! Mom and I split the trio appetizer of two scallops, two crabcakes, and two sliders. Amazeballs. They are known for their pizzas. My two favorite are the chicken pesto and the Q special. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. And now I am starving.
My Capitals pulled out a win last night. Yessss! On to game two tomorrow night. The only good thing about them playing the Rangers is that the game is televised up here. Do I dare rock my Ove*chkin shirt out tomorrow night? Probably not. New York sports fans are not the nicest.
I am using my powers to predict some grocery shopping in my near future....
I guess a girl cannot live on wine and water alone. Not pictured are the frozen chicken and broccoli in the freezer, aka the only form of sustenance in my apartment.
Whoops.
